Petrobras announced today (09/23) the opening of more than 700 apprentice positions in 13 states and the Federal District. The opportunities are part of the Petrobras Young Apprentice Program, which promotes social inclusion and entry of talent into the labor market through professional qualification, fulfilling the requirements set forth by the Apprenticeship Law. Registration is free and can be done from October 6 to 12, via the website https://jovemaprendizpetrobras.gruposeres.com.br.

In this edition, Petrobras also reaffirms its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, introducing innovations in the selection criteria and the establishment of quotas for specific groups, and adopting a scoring system that prioritizes greater inclusion of adolescents and youth in situations of vulnerability and/or social risk. There is, for example, a reserve of 30% of positions for Black, Indigenous and Quilombola people; 20% of positions for persons with disabilities (PwDs); 15% for adolescents who are former child laborers and/or were in conditions analogous to slavery; and 10% for adolescents in institutional care or serving socio-educational measures.

The opportunities are available in the municipalities of Manaus (AM), Salvador (BA), Fortaleza (CE), Linhares (ES), Vitória (ES), Betim (MG), Juiz de Fora (MG), Recife (PE), Curitiba (PR), Natal (RN), Canoas (RS), Aracaju (SE), Cubatão (SP), Mauá (SP), Paulínia (SP), Santos (SP), São José dos Campos (SP), Duque de Caxias (RJ), Macaé (RJ), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Gonçalo (RJ), Brasília (DF), and Três Lagoas (MS).

The program will last 21 months, offering basic professional training courses in addition to technical courses. For professional training, Petrobras partners with SENAI to provide 30 vocational courses—18 basic apprenticeship courses and 12 technical-level courses—distributed across 39 classes, with 26 basic apprenticeship classes and 13 technical classes.

The program offers various opportunities in apprenticeship courses, including areas such as instrumentation, industrial electrician, maintenance mechanic, logistics assistant, construction management assistant, building electrician, hydraulic plumber, building constructor, boilermaker assistant, welder, administrative assistant, IT technical support, among others. Technical courses include industrial automation, electrotechnics, mechatronics, mechanics, industrial machinery maintenance, industrial instrumentation, systems development, petrochemicals, logistics, chemistry, and renewable energy systems.

To apply, candidates must be at least 14 years old and no older than 21 years and 7 months at the time of registration. For people with disabilities, there is no maximum age limit. Candidates who have not yet completed high school must prove enrollment and attendance at school, and the chosen apprenticeship course must take place at a time different from their school shift.
